I have a guy who lives next door to me who flys for Southwest. Hell, he's been flying since before I was born. He tells me any moron would be able to fly from any airport on the East Coast, head east until they hit water, and then south towards NYC. Once near NYC it isn't too difficult to fine the WTC - They are (were) the tallest buildings in the damn city.

As I have said I also have problems relying on information from a source that needs something to sell his books and from pure conspiracy sites, some of these people list the fact the moon landing never took place... do you believe that also?

Everyone makes decisions based on their own experiences, I for one know from first hand experience from my position in the military that the media never tells the whole story or that the govt puts its own spin on certain things. There are certain reasons for that bad and good, like all things in life.

The way you portrayed this report as a definitive source is a joke, and what I have a problem with in this post, and then you tried defending it 3 seperate times going from a congressional report, to a federal report, to finally conceding it had nothing to do with the US govt at all. So I either say you are just spinning your wheels or you have some massive reading comprehension problems based on your inability to collate where this report came from, that would call into question any other findings you have said to come across.

I believe that those who are in the Military postion have a great deal more responsiblity of sensitive information to deal with and resources to gather from contacts, authority, knowledge etc...

Don't confuse gov't paranoia with conspiracy.

The gov't has said they don't want to release the black box because it contains "evidence" that might be used in upcoming trials.

The gov't often doesn't like to release stuff - in this case - it is most likely not due to any conspiracy - as they WILL release it after any trials.

The gov't often does stuff like this - and it just makes people more suspicious. I did FOIA requests with the CIA on the JFK assassignation for school. They responded to all of them - and I found most of the documents they had originally classified and now declassified - were just newspaper articles and totlally innocent documents that had a name or two that should have just been blacked out.

No evidence of a conspiracy - just a gov't agency that doesn't like to give out info.

Don't confuse gov't STUPIDITY with gov't CONSPIRACY. They look the same a lot of them time - but they are different.

I will try to answer some of these off of the top of my head. I don't know what the status is of the black boxes. I don't know if all of them were recovered. I don't know if they were damaged beyond use. The black boxes would only provide information about the status of the aircraft. I do not know if all of the flight recorders were recovered. I do not know if they were damaged beyond use. In the case of flight 93, it is my understanding that the flight recorder was recovered and the families and some others were allowed to listen to the tape. I seriously doubt that the flight recorders from the WTC and Pentagon, assuming they may have been recovered, would be of any use, as I would suspect the damage to them would be severe.

OBL was on tape incriminating himself, so he was definitely one of the culprits. As to why the Petagon was hit. The militarys radar is not arrayed to track commercial flights. It was not until sometime into the event that someone from the FAA informed the military what was going on, but the scrambled aircraft were twelve minutes behind the impact into the Pentagon. Multiple people using cell phones called home, and called 911, from both the flight 93 and the flight that impacted the Pentagon and this is one way they new about what weapons the Hijackers had.

exactly,flight 93 was recovered and only the families could listen to it? what kind of sense does that make? If they were able to find a passport of the hijacker in complete contact in the WTC and they can't find the black box there is a problem.
How far apart was the first WTC attack and the Pentagon? Like 45 minutes right? They didn't have the pentagon as one of their top priorities to secure once they knew planes were being hijacked? Hard to believe
I saw no wreckage at the Pentagon and no wreckage of flight 93...but even after two of the biggest buildings in NYC collapse you still find and saw plane pieces on tv! but none in the other two crashes? once again,hard to believe

Why doesn't the government make a 2 hour tape explaining the events? Take a few months,research the event and make a tape explaining everything in detail,maybe putting peoples minds at ease... They are good at it.

There was an hour program on TV about the events of that day covering every known aspect of the flight controllers, the FAA, the military and their respective actions. Military personell during that program explained about how their radar functions and is arrayed and the fact that it was arrayed during the cold war to be outward looking and that they do not normally track commercial flights. Needless to say they are making some changes. They also explained that on 9/11 there were only ten aircraft on alert 24/7 and where they were located, which I don't recall. Since 9/11 there are 100 aircraft on alert 24/7 scattered across the nation. They were not notified by the FAA until well into the events of that day. I do not recall the times lines involved, or all of the details, but it was a very detailed account of the events of that day including cell phone calls made by some of the passengers and their time line.

I believe you that the television program played on the air and existed, absolutely.

I love how everyone wants to know why the govt didnt make split second decisions. Govt agency and the military are huge institutions and have issues with interoffice communications. They are also loathe to break chain of command and while for the military there is usually someone who can make some kind of decision there isnt always a civilian counterpart willing to do so. Also there has never been a precedent for this massive of a scale. Civilian aircraft would be tracked but for the most part are not coordinated by the military from what I have been reading. When they need airspace they relay it to civilian controllers who clear the civilian aircraft out of the way.
