I've heard some people say that you shouldn't use any doorway pages for your sites as they will just get you banned, while others are saying that using a few (perhaps 10) is still a legitimate way to build more traffic for your site.

Do any of you still use doorways? Or are they still completely dead as a traffic technique?

I'd say it depends if they have a purpose... ie recips for free sites.

If you're just mass producing doorways then you're index spamming and should be banned for it.

Until the SEs only link to your index page and not anything else, there will always be "doorways"...

any pages in the sites are doorways, what makes them ban is just spamming...
