I Am PROPOSING A New RULE For GFY USERS........The One's That Count Anyways........

NEW RULE: When posting a BUSINESS RELATED THREAD use the "light bulb" icon next to the thread title.

Because the first page only averages 5-10 business related threads - post the "light bulb" icon next to your thread if it is business related. This will help in getting your thread viewed by the right audience and gain you better responses.

It's just a thought but if you start....it will catch on.

("would you hit it" is not a business related thread....unless we can actually "hit it" )

I hate trying to keep up with multiple boards, especially when I just want to do a quick scan of the days threads. While I have no finalcial or personal interest in this board, it is well recognized by many industry peeps and could be doing much more.

Actually they should come up with, or add and use an anvil pictures icon.

That will appropriately signal business threads as they drop off the front page in a matter of minutes.

I always thought GFY should block those free email companies like yahoo, hotmail, gmail, etc. during registration so you can somewhat prove you are actually a webmaster at least.

I for one use a gmail for many reasons but that aside.

Any idiot can get a domain for under a few bucks and have a .info or .ws or whatever for like 3.00 or so. They do not even need hosting at many registrars as they are given domain fowarding and or super duper ultra basic hosting for free.

GFY is about views unfortunatly. However a member based subscription based area of GFY would kick some serious ass and kill the crap for when we want to do real business. Even if it only costs between 5 to 10 bucks a month.

Yes and no. Many of us are looking to network and work out deals. Then hell yes some of us do want to buy things like design, links, traffic, whatever and are sick and tired of digging through 7000 sig whores and a half million been posted 2000 times already stupid web crap everyone knows.

Also there are people like Mark and Sarah who like to post tutorials or other info that sure may help them sell a different service, still has very valuable information in it.
