It was WONDERFUL.

I just spent two months re-losing what I gained on my last trip to the States!

There was a pizza place in Red Oak Texas, just south of Dallas, that served Bacon Lettace and Tomato pizza. It was made like a BLT with warm crust, cool mayo and crispy lettace

It was one of the best pizzas I ever ate.

I am sorry to say it but I am really sure I could eat and enjoy that.

Yikes! That squid ink pizza looks a little scary.

I just recently ordered pizza from a place called Garlic Jim's. Instead of tomato sauce, it was ranch dressing. It was...interesting.

This might not be really odd, but I absolutely LOVE the pesto garlic pizza at Whole Foods. It has a pesto sauce and artichoke, sliced tomatoes, grilled garlic, greek olives and slight feta cheese shavings on it.

I have had numerous strange pizza's I suppose. Though stuff like clams and the like do not suprise me. The one that caught me off guard the most was this one local place's taco pizza.

Cornmeal crust, salsa sauce, seasoned ground beef, chirizo, black olives, mexi cheese blend, then toped with cold sour cream, cold lettuce, and cold tomatoes. Very messy but was very tasty as well.

Sad part is the place that made it was sold and the new owners just do not do it the same way. I am sure they have switched to more frozen items like the cheese and meats, and also buy the dough balls. I hate industrial pizza.

IIRC, Pizza Hut had a taco pizza many (20ish) years ago.

Ackkk Pizza Hut is one of the majors responsible for industrial pizza.

PS this taco pizza is something I had when I was like um 16 or so (trying to remember which house I was in) so that would of been almost twenty years ago.

Now if we could just kill Pizza Hut, Little Ceasars, CiCi's, Dominos, Papa Johns, most all take n bake places, and nearly all of the major chains the US would be a better place.
