    I just got free Blackjack phone from Cingular/ATT

    So about 3 month ago I was getting ready to explore Asia and ordered new phone from Amazon with extension of my service for another year. My order went through , so everything is kosher. I get my new phone and the paper that’s attached to it has something like “here’s your new number”.. what new number? So I call customer service and tell them that I already have number and explain what happened. Turns out they had glitch in the system, and they are canceling my “new number” and letting me keep the phone. So 2 days later I placed another order and got krazr phone and kept my blackjack.

          hmm i dont understand because i buy phones with out letting my provider know..

          so you orderd a phone from amazon but what you paid for was the new number?
          so when they cancled the new number, you basically got refunded?

                          it was one of those extend your contract for a year and get free phone”.. if you’re not in US you won’t get the idea.
