I do agree that in the end you have to be yourself. but most guys cant be themselves without showing neediness. mystery has taught the best pickup artists in the world, the same pickup artists that have picked up paris hilton and neil strauss himself pulled britney spears number when he was interviewing her for rolling stones magazine.
ive seen guys with money, good looks and in shape, be scared to go up and talk to the most beautiful girls in the clubs. and if they do muster the courage, they lame out by showing needy body position, leaning in when they talk(pecking), not talking loud enough, not looking into her eyes, asking her name first, buying her drinks, not having a interesting conversation.
most guys also do whats called the "interview pickup", asking where she works, where she lives, if she has a boyfriend(which you never ask and if she says she has one ignore it).
