i just spent 20 minutes watching SICKO, hey, is it really that fuckded up in the US about health care? Cus it seems like insuranse companies rip off people all the way, especially with that PREEXISTING condition, this is fucking nuts!

Well, not really. It's not like the Ukraine where the hospital is a marketplace and you buy and sell all kind of stuff like organs, babies...etc.

It has a lot of flaws. Basically if you have a preexisting condition it will be hard to get insurance to cover it. I have asthma and there isn't insurance out there that I can buy that will cover anything asthma related. A while back I got bronchitis and ended up in the ER when I started getting short of breath. The insurance didn't want to pay it because they told me the bronchitis was asthma related. I was able to successfully appeal it, but it was a pain in the ass.
