it's hard to get money to pay medical bills from someone who owns a tent, some rice and a water jug. I'm probably over simplifying things in the legal sense, but you can't get blood from a turnip. Many of the African societies that practice FGM are hundreds of miles away from a hospital anyway.
And yes it's true that the information on the WHO link I gave is only about females, I never argued otherwise. I was giving a link to information to support my opinion on the topic of FGM specifically and did not mean to imply that what they had to say encompassed both MGM and FGM. I cannot speak to the reason that WHO specifically doesn't address MGM but I don't think that the lack of information about MGM means that the information given about FGM is false automatically.
As a side note, there is some information about male circumcision on the WHO website, although it's talking about it in relation to HIV transmission rates which is a pretty controversial topic and one that I have only very limited knowledge of.
