They sure are different Scott - and fluent in both... and a few others to varying degrees. It's amazing how you can learn a language quick when you need to eat in whatever country :)

Foreign languages are great, and I admire people who can master them.

However, in my view, there should be only 1 official language of the USA --and it should be English.

The other foreign languages should be just that, foreign. Study them as foreign languages.

Part of any language is having an ability to spell correctly - that may be a good starting point. If that keeps failing - try Spanish and see if ya can get that right without screwing it up :winkwink:

2 Spanish and English, learned English when I moved to the US. Now I'm living in the Philippines so I'm trying to learn Tagalog so far I have:

Malaking Titi= Big Dick
Malaki Suso= Big Boobs
Malaki Puwet= Big Ass

I speak Dutch and English fluently, speak a little Italian, French, Spanish and German - meaning that I understand about 80% but don't speak it that well.

Khmer, Thai , English , French and Ebonics.

Can write and read English , Ebonics and some French.

Dutch, English, German (only speaking though. Writing it gramatically correct is such a pain in the ass it made me switch schools) Same goes for French.

Talk any other language to me and you can call me whatever you want. As long as you smilee i wont be suspicious.

I love how everyone says they speak 3 languages, but if you tried to speak with them in two of those languages they wouldn't understand anything :P

Fluent in English, and fairly proficient in Spanish (studied Spanish 4+ years) and Japanese (lived in Japan 5+ years, and studied Japanese 4+ years) - basically enough to get in trouble, and not enough to get out of trouble... :)
