You can be categorical and outright prejudicial against someone who would try heroine, but it depends on the kind of social context, direct environment and general background the person comes from.

ANd yeah I've known people who tried heroin once or twice no more and even though they might have been big booze hounds or could snort away an ounce of blow once a week, they never went back to it.

I snorted a few lines once, in 1983. I was already pretty blasted when I did it. I got sick as a dog, seriously barfing in the gutter in the E village, but I enjoyed a happy euphoria for the next several hours. Fortunately, I never had an opportunity to do that again.

As an aside, I am always astonished at the moralizing that goes on in these kinds of threads. This is an adult webmaster board for god's sake! We are all moral relativists here. i saw 2 friends going down the shitter - enough for me. i tried speed for some time and i know that i would become addicted easily. so i stay away from this shit. i rather spend that money on more fun things

A friend of mine used to do heroine every once in awhile. He got it for free from a dealer he knew. Only smoked it; never got addicted.
