I'm a big fan of Terminal Services i.e. keeping all your data in one spot (with option of backup) - although graphic software isn't the best in a TS environemnt, majority of the stuff I do - day to day is.

Does anyone know of any companys offering terminal services access to a VMware (or MS Virtual PC) Windows XP install on a 10mbit + connection?

I don't imagine this would compare to a normal hosting package as bandwidth usage would at max be 100mb per day (the traffic used in an average ts session over 8hours).

Reason I'm wanting this is I have been travelling for the past 6 months, and sometimes the internet connections I pickup are 128kbit or less which is terrible for download content, building galleries, uploading movies etc.

Would need about 10gb hdd, 512mb ram..

Eddie, we can get you setup on a NationalNet windows server as follows:
p4/3.0HT processor
1GB RAM
2x120GB RAID1 disks
@5mbps bandwidth $199/mo (99 setup)
@10mbps bandwidth $399/mo (129 setup)

windows licensing is +$35/mo on top of that pricing.

I *think* your post says you need just the 5mbps server, except for the part where you mentioned 10mbit+ connection so I am including both prices to be safe.

This includes an 80GB free backup service, fully managed maintained and monitored by our active monitoring systems, 24x7 phone and web support and premium, tier1 multihomed bandwidth. And we will provide you with a Terminal Services (RDP) login too.
