Now, what difference does it make.. some people using sponsor A have better ratios while others using sponsor A have shitty ratios..

It's all dependant on many variables such as traffic volume, traffic quality, NICHE TARGETTING, presentation & sales text, promo method, GEO because let's face it, if your traffic is from non billable countries, forget it..,, source of traffic, your other outbound links, etc, etc, etc..

Here's an example..
How many of you posting poor ratios are also using AVNAds or some other contextual ad service on the same sites your promoting those sponsors from???

Your surfers who could of bought a membership were sent away to myfreepaysite.com via AVNAds for a measly .01.. think about that!!!!

Here's another example, CHOICE!! How many choices are you giving your visitors?? Too Many? Not Enough?

I noticed a few people listed bad Brain Cash numbers but I'm at 1:591 with them. I think it all has to do with what kind of traffic you have. I do well with them but, I'm at 1:2000 with some other sponsers.

I think all these poor ratios boil down to using the standard overpromoted tours from the sponsors. What you need to do is get creative and make your own custom tours instead of using the sponsor ones. That's what I do, but then again I'm very creative and my tours $ell

Bad ratios are very easy to get though. It often boils down to that particular webmaster, their sites, how they promote, traffic sources, etc.

If I am doing gallery crap 1:2500 is fine with me, hell its expected.
If I am really filtering it and it skips all pre made material and goes direct to join, anything more than 1:25 and I would be wondering whats up.
If I am tossing my random or crap traffic at shit 1:15k is nothing abnormal.

However there is something to be said about a few listed. Some just um lets just say they do not convert

Those of you with 0:4000+ should qualify your answers with the type of traffic and time period. Huge difference in 1:5000 over 1 day vs. a few hits a day over 2 years. Also mention if you've EVER had a sale. I'll have a good at the guys redirecting 404's straight to tours or auto-redirects and wondering why those clicks aren't converting into $

I won't even bring up the comparisons of sponsors who count 2nd/qualified/join page hits vs. first page raw/uniques..... o.k. I just did ;) Worse yet are those of you that are like "OMG.. i'm like 1:XXX with (some sponsor that counts qualified uniques)... WOW!!!!!!!!"

Ahh... Rigth you are!

As for anything you can do... These are hits that type in your websites name and then get sent directly to your website... so the only thing that can be done is to make your website convert better.
