Its *Okay*. If people thought he was a sell out on his last album, this one puts the icing on the cake. Justin timberlake? I even think I heard Beyonce. I'm also hearing that kayne's album is doing better, despite the fact that 50's album has like 4 'hit' (mainstream) that have been playing over and over on the radio.

Hmmmm, I wonder if purchasing the album thru itunes counts as a record sold for these rappers.

Are you kidding? This album was fuckin' horrible and so was Kanye's. Listen to 50's "Guess Who's Back" and compare it to "Curtis". 50 is worthless now as far as "rap skills"...

He's still way richer than I probably ever be though...

I deleted the album after I heard it once. Time to kick back and listen to GRODT.

To sell albums...I like a little Timberlake, but not in my rap.

And fuck 50 Cent...that guy is a piece of shit, a rich one, but still a piece of shit.

You know, I don't usually do this, but I have to alter my statment a little.

I posted after scanning the album....after letting the whole album play through, I am definitely disappointed in contrast with his earlier stuff, and you are right JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE???? W-T-F?

I like it, but it's not great. Sounds like he's fullfilling his contract at best. Still a few good tunes though. Guess I was psyced about a new fifty album...but I am a bit let down now that I heard all the tracks.

Oh well, back to king of new york...

Ive been listening to 50 from day one, his new Album is def. very different than any of his previous. It always cracks me up when people say he sold out or whatever else. Music fucking changes, as does time, if he kept putting out the same shit for every album people would piss and moan about that. I like his new album, I like the fact it has some air playable shit, along with some shit that will never make radio play. As for his shit with Justin, Timberland, and Em it doesnt bother me, it's a different sound. Maybe I just got what I wanted from this album, something that is Club playable without the constant I killed you, im better than you bullshit that every rapper has in their songs.

Everyone knows by now that 50 is full of shit, he's not shooting anyone, snipping anyone or anything else, one thing he is doing is making a fuck load of money, regardless if it's from his Vitamin Water deal or from his lack luster album sales, the guy is still making bank. There isnt one person on here that wouldnt change their music from Album to Album and try different things if they had already sold $100mil in album sales through the years.

My useless 2 cents, but Ill listen to it, it's way better than the Kanye shit that came out (except for Stronger) that song doesnt annoy me like all of his other crying shit.

Check out Aesop Rock's newest, Public Enemy's newest, and common's new one is pretty solid as well. Still some good hip hop out there, just gotta search for it a little harder.

Rap was invented by poor people for poor people. Bottom line, now it is a mainstream popular garbage music that middle America soaks up to feel less boring and wimpy in their gated, protected, whitewashed community's. Rap was never meant for the mainstream because they have no idea what it is like to live in squalor. Now most people idolize that shit, sure living with roaches in the projects while wearing a 20k diamond chain is something the smart people do

Fiddy & Kanye are what's wrong with hip hop!

Seriously the albums that people should be focused on are OH No - Dr. No's Oxperiment & Aesop Rock - None Shall Pass!

Quit falling pray to wack rappers "marketing" ploys!

Both albums are ASS CHEEKs......Kanye is on pace to sell 800k and 50 only about 600k...First week sales will go to Kanye but I think "Curtis" will sell more in the long run....

my quick opinion (not stepping on anybodys toes)

Actually he destroyed Ja Rules career by flaming him for doing exactly what he is doing himself now. 50 is just full of shit and his music sucks because he knows corny music is what sells right now. Which means he's a sellout.

And listening to 50 cent since the "Get Rich Or Die Trying" album isn't listening to 50 since day one. Thats when he first became a sell out. Get your hands on a copy of "Power of a Dollar" or "Guess Who's Back" and you'll see why I say 50 is corny now compared to when he takes rap seriously.

Fiddy only good shit was how to rob and steal; I mean you have to love his balls for calling basically everybody in hip hop out! Too bad one of those people was Ghostface, the best lyricist in the game right now!

are you kidding me? hes an obnoxious ignorant racist with an extremely whiny voice and poppy rap, he's also the creator of the worst 'rap' song ever: jesus walks. Keep close minded religion out of rap to brainfuck unstable people with that propaganda. If there's one rapper i really hate its kanye west.

And listening to 50 cent since the "Get Rich Or Die Trying" album isn't listening to 50 since day one. Thats when he first became a sell out. Get your hands on a copy of "Power of a Dollar" or "Guess Who's Back" and you'll see why I say 50 is corny now compared to when he takes rap seriously.
i fully agree, power of the dollar is the only 50 album i occasionally still listen to.

Better albums than Curtis that have come out in past few weeks:

Special Teamz - Stereotypez (Check this track with Devin The Dude)
DJ Muggs Vs Sick Jacken - The Mask and The Assassin
Raekwon - Vatican Mixtape Vol 3--House Of Wax
La Coka Nostra Presents Ill Bill - Black Metal
Young Noble And Hussein Fatal - Thug In Thug Out
Crooked I - Hiphop Weekly
Chamillionaire - Ultimate Victory
Boot Camp Clik - Casualties Of War
Caveman Theory - Cro-Magnon Mixtape
etc, etc

50 Is entertaining, but not even a 1/4 of the MC he used to be..

same old same old. just another artist sticking to a formula instead of being creative and taking risks (when they can afford to ).

I won't even download Kanye's new album for free

50 Cent's was worth it though, but I wouldn't pay for his efforts.
