Bush to use spy satellites to perv on your bedrooms

Domestic Use of Spy Satellites To Widen
Law Enforcement Getting New Access To Secret Imagery

By Joby Warrick
Washington Post Staff Writer
Thursday, August 16, 2007; A01

The Bush administration has approved a plan to expand domestic access to some of the most powerful tools of 21st-century spycraft, giving law enforcement officials and others the ability to view data obtained from satellite and aircraft sensors that can see through cloud cover and even penetrate buildings and underground bunkers.

A program approved by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and the Department of Homeland Security will allow broader domestic use of secret overhead imagery beginning as early as this fall, with the expectation that state and local law enforcement officials will eventually be able to tap into technology once largely restricted to foreign surveillance.

I wonder if they are going to have to keep 2257 records on the tapes??

FUCK! And I was just now going to run to the liquor store, under "cloud cover", and get a bottle of Boone's Farm.

Now that it's become increasingly difficult to use the natural state of the world to cover my obscene acts, I guess I'll just go straight.

Straight Whiskey, that is. I'd hate to get caught buying Boone's Farm.

Oversight of the department's use of the overhead imagery data would come from officials in the Department of Homeland Security and from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence and would consist of reviews by agency inspectors general, lawyers and privacy officers. "We can give total assurance" that Americans' civil liberties will be protected, Allen said. "Americans shouldn't have any concerns about it."

That last line is just unbelievable.

Has the Patriot Act been abused, as many civil libertarians have predicted?

If so, let's hear the evidence.

The idea behind what they want to do is sound.

How many people are killed in standoffs with the cops every year, that do not have to die if they know where the bad guy is?? How many people planning robberies and moving drugs could be stopped BEFORE they do.

Only one problem... It wont work that way for very long. They will be looking into the house of someone they " THINK " said something against them.

Live free or die. Fucking "improvements" in life, keeping us "safer" fucking bullshit, dont let the state handle anything, gov is fucked. When will the people revolt against big brother and take their life and the decisions in them back into their own hands? Step, by small step, the train of freedom moves backwards and we barely notice.

There will be no more revolutions by "patriots" in this country.

Spy satellites, armoured local SWAT teams, communications eavesdropping and monitoring, disappearing to secret East European prisons, national ID cards, interlocked databases, Raptor, secret courts,.....

we have everything but the swastikas.

The government is using gag orders and secret evidence to keep the public in the dark about its use of the Patriot Act to investigate Americans, according to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

In two legal challenges to controversial provisions of the Patriot Act brought by the ACLU and other groups, the government has filed secret evidence that it is refusing to disclose to the public and even to the attorneys in the case.

How stupid and dumb are you? *lol*

The US "Patriot Act" is an abuse in itself and would rarely stand a chance of passing into law in any western country.

It has nothing to do with "civil libertarians" or any other label you seem to be obsessed with. It is more the product of an extemist oppressive regime.
