Calling all Uber Nerds: Tron Sequel Confirmed!
Those techie geeks and über nerd gods who recall Disney's 1982 cult classic "Tron" will be psyched to know that negotiations are in their final stages for a sequel. Joseph Kosinski is set to direct. Steven Lisberger (of the original) will be helping.
For those who haven't seen "Tron" it is was the first movie to incorporate computer-generated images and had what was then ground-breaking special effects. The plot line centered around computer programs and programmers. Visual Effects people are all vying at the chance to be a part of the sequel, stating the original prompted them to enter the business. Wow, a sequel that more than likely will be better than the first. Though back then the effects were cool. Plus I do see all the ubber cgi freaks wanting in on it.
