One benefit I see if net neutrality goes away

Alot of free porn will disappear, I would gladly pay $500 a month or $1000 a month for my hosting for that to happen.

b/c bandwidth will become extremely expensive and only those making real money in the industry will be able to play the game. Alot of fly by night TGP's, blogs and that other crap will cost too much to just spit out.

Or maybe they'll force customers to buy an "adult package". If you don't, you can't access adult sites. Or a "video package" that you have to have to view videos online. Maybe an ISP will simply block your website because they don't like the content you have on it.

Elminating net neutrality only helps the telcos.

there is nothing good about this... this only opens the doors for big fish to shut out the rest... imho the next step will be for telcos to allow companies to also pay for their competition to have slower access...

the highest bidder will be allowed to crush the competition by hindering the speed of their competitions sites....

I completely agree. They are just trying to find a way to increase the costs of doing business online. That way "Big Business" can keep the little guys out. Right now anyone with a good idea can make plenty of money on the internet. That's driving the big guys nuts. Here's a more detailed arguement...https://gfy.com/fucking-around-and-business-discussion/750005-net-neutrality.html

You guys are missing the big picture. The end of net neutrality can very well kill the internet as we know it. You don't think Microsoft bought WebTV for no reason do yea? Everyone laughed at Bill Gates for buying webTV but I will be you anything it will be his biggest and smartest move ever.

The internet is going to go the way of IPTV and all your cable companies will offer all their services via the web in the next 10 years. Doing away with Net Neutrality paves the path for them. They will set up their own private networks and offer a webTV package via a cable box that hooks into your TV.

Will be something like how AOL works today, but will be your TV and web all together. They will then charge fees to have your sites included in their networks. Once the corporate Mongols get their hands on the net, they will rip it apart and milk every dollar they can out of it.

Net Neutrality was the Decoration of Independence for the internet. When it's gone, the internet as we know today will slow fade into the past in exchange for easy no brains service packages given to you by your cable/tel-com providers.
