Question for domainers: are cunt domains taboo?
Hey, just a quick question out there for you guys who really know your adult domains. It seems like adult domains with the word "cunt" in them are not much wanted; I've been picking up a disproportionate number of them in nice short keyword combinations (most recent grab was whipcunts.com).
Is there any particular reason why these domains are unloved? I mean, sure, it's a word that doesn't market well to most women, but is that enough to explain this? Or have I just been getting lucky with my cunt domain purchases? |

Correct, it is the N-word applied to women.

Hmm, I know that's true in mainstream polite society of course, but is it also true in porn marketing? You still hear it a lot in hardcore, extreme, gonzo type contexts, and of course it's almost a term of endearment among a certain type of BDSM players -- especially the abject slavery types.
Don't get me wrong, I'd never expect to use these domains to market softcore or sweet nudes type of content, but it strikes me that they do have some substantial marketing power despite that. Of course, most of my work is in fetish niches, and I wouldn't have asked the question if I hadn't started wondering if I was missing something. ![]() |

Its rare, I have only seen one free site that has cunt in the name (cuntfilter.com) other than that, i have never seen an actual domain of a site or paysite
