"The armed forces have been put under alert in the persian gulf and the president has asked the marine corps to be ready for deployment in less than 6 hours notice"

"It is likely that the president is preparing the armed forces for an attack in Iraq..."

"CNN has also obtained confirmation from Strategic command that they were evaluating iraqi targets.."

Hmm.. I have doubts about the accuracy of information. But we will see.

The DOD claims they are just moving things around and that they do it all the time.

Also Central Command is moving into the Middle East.

England, has it's largest carrier in the Medditeranian, and the US has put a carrier in the Gulf.

There's also talk of pulling our troops from Saudi Arabia.

Sounds like a plan to me ;)

I think this was a maneuver intended to keep any terrorists from making a rash move this week. If someone did as much as set a mail box on fire they would expect to have their mothers house in an arab country blown to bits.

Gee ... do you think this CNN news report is going to tip Saddam off that an attack is coming? Shit ... in the med, the best form of intelligence about ship movements is the whores. You can be in any port big enough to dock a Naval vessel, and five days before it pulls into port (sometimes before the base commanders know the ship is coming) the whores show up. Don't know how they know ... but they always do.
