I do not like this SOS guy, just because i find him absolutely annoying, but i find it hard to believe he can actually be this annoying in regular life.

If you don't pay high rent, then you're living in a SHITHOLE while you save up the 25k you need for a downpayment on a tiny ass shithole 300 sq foot box in Yaletown that you'll pay 1700 a month mortgage on. I'm in a lease... also, i live in a highrise on the 17th floor by Joyce station.. those new buildings that went up...

and every suite around there is around that price....

and why don't i own? because i put my money into adult, which was a completely loss... and now i have built back up enough to be looking at my first purchase... i'm thinking of buying a 250-300k house just to rent out to someone though... not really sure what i want to do right now really..

because theres absolutely no way i could afford a place in vancouver.. it would be like 600k+


so if i wanted to buy a property, it would have to be in like maple ridge or something like that, and fuck living out there... so it would have to be just an investment... and i would remain living in vancouver

I personally believe that there will be a lot of places on the market after the Olympics.. So saving up some cash to buy those places at that point would be a good plan.
