                                  Can't we all just get along? Everybody needs everybody. The chinese lean on the rest of the world for their economic uprising. They import everything the can get their hands on. So the last thing they want to do is pick a fight and risk losing all that.

                                  It wil take many many years for China to complete that, so as long as they aren't selfsufficient, they won't be dumb enough to start a war imho

                                      China Denies Hacking Pentagon Computers

                                      BEIJING (AP) ? China on Tuesday denied a report that its military had hacked into Pentagon computers, saying the allegations were "groundless" and that Beijing was opposed to cybercrime.

                                      The Financial Times, citing unnamed officials, reported Monday that the People's Liberation Army hacked into a computer system in the office of Defense Secretary Robert Gates in June. The attack forced officials to take down the network for more than a week, the report said.

                                      "Some people make groundless accusations against China" that its military attacked the Pentagon, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Jiang Yu said at a regular news briefing.

                                      "China has all along been opposed to and forbids criminal activities undermining computer networks, including hacking," she said. "China is ready to strengthen cooperation with other countries, including the U.S., in countering Internet crimes."

                                      The Financial Times report said the Pentagon was still investigating how much information was stolen, but cited an unnamed person as saying that most of it was probably unclassified.

                                      It was the second time in two weeks that China was accused of hacking into a foreign government's computers. On the eve of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's visit to Beijing last week, the weekly Der Spiegel said computers at the Chancellery and three ministries had been infected with so-called Trojans, or spy programs.

                                      The report, which did not specify its sources, said Germany's domestic intelligence agency believed a group of hackers associated with the People's Liberation Army might have been behind the alleged hacking.

                                      At the time, Premier Wen Jiabao called the reported hacking a "matter of grave concern" and said China would take "firm and effective action" to prevent such crimes.

                                      The Pentagon warned earlier this year that China's army is emphasizing hacking as an offensive weapon. It cited Chinese military exercises in 2005 that included hacking "primarily in first strikes against enemy networks."

                                      The Associated Press reported in July that the State Department was trying to recover from large-scale network break-ins affecting operations worldwide. The hackers appeared to target the department headquarters and offices dealing with China and North Korea, it was reported.

                                      However, experts have said that China is home to a large number of insecure computers and networks that hackers in other countries could use to disguise their locations and launch attacks.

                                          They have more people than the US but we can arm a larger force than they can. At the end of the second world war we had sixteen million people in uniform with a population almost one third the size of our current population and an economy that was a fraction of our current economy even allowing for inflation.

                                          They do not have the technological weapons that we have.
                                          They do not have the naval power that we have.
                                          They do not have the air power that we have.
                                          They do not have the industrial capacity that we have.
                                          They do not have the ability to project power (other than the use of ICBM's)and we do and are prepositioned around the globe.

                                          They admitted a year or two ago that they are not a military match for us...but stated that they were going to work on changing that. They have increased their military spending and assuming that we remained stagnant they could reach our current military status within twenty years or so...but of course we will not remain stagnant. Military R&D is a constant with us.

                                          They do have ICBM's but we outnumber them in that area by thousands.

                                          So I repeat...pigshit.

                                                  In regards to Vietnam...we could have ended that war in one day with the use of tactical nukes...we could have ended that war with sustained bombing of the North in thirty days (The proof is in the pudding. When President Nixon finally took the gloves off and ordered 24/7 sustained bombing of the North it only took eleven days to bring the North to the peace table and allowed for our withdrawal of our forces. Two years after we withdrew the Southern forces were defeated by the North.). We could have ended the war within ninety days with a ground invasion of the North.

                                                  Would we still have an occupying force their...I suspect that we would. Would we still be taking some casualties...I suspect we would.

                                                  In regards to Iraq...we defeated their military forces in twenty-four days. We have been an occupying force ever since. Will we succeed in stopping Iraqi's from killing one another...I suspect not. Can we prevent suicide bombers or IED's (The IED's have accounted for more than 70% of our casualties)...I suspect not. Will we succeed in establishing a stable government in Iraq...I suspect not. Why do I think we will not succeed...because our leader has been pussyfooting around and will not put the necessary force their to get the job done and the American people have lost confidence...so at some point we will withdraw.

                                                                  If China foreclosed on American loans America wouldnt have the cash to buy weapons.

The political infighting and partisanship has greatly weakened our country. Our enemy sees us divided, and exploits it.

The American people made a terrible choice in voting for Bill Clinton. China exploited this and made massive gains in stealing our military technology during Clinton's administration. Now our own weapons technology is pointed.. at us.

                                                                                                                                                                                      The American people need to make better choices, give up their gas guzzlers, give up their cheap Chinese products, and stand united. If and when our great country collapses, the blame will be with the citizens who made these terrible choices.
