Sony Vegas - Problem opening Audio Track on MPEGs, anybody ?

Hello guys! i use Sony Vegas for editing the movies on my galleries, the problem i found today is that on some certain movie updates when i open them on sony Vegas, they get opened only with the Video Track, but the Audio track is not opened, so basically the movies appear Mute, the funny thing is that on winamp and windows media player they play correctly with the audio included, so, any clue ? anybody experienced this trouble too ?

I am not familiar with Vegas specifically, but I think it doesn't work for the same reason that it won't work in Premiere Pro- because those apps are made to edit DV AVI, and they have issues properly editing MPEG unless you have a plug-in for it.

i think you're using sony vegas 6 or lower. to edit mpg on those version you need to register your mainconcept mpeg codec separately. unless you're using sony vegas 7 mpeg codec is included in vegas itself and your audio timeline will work properly.
