EPOCH: Maestro and visa electron question

Why don't you accept these types of cards , (at least in my account they all get rejected). We have plenty of customers trying to get in all the time with these cards, losing a lot of sales. Any official reasons/explanations for this Epoch?

About 80% of adults in the UK possess at least one debit card of which Switch is the largest with 23m cards issued. Switch migrated to Maestro in July, which is now MasterCard?s leading debit card brand with more than half a billion cards issued worldwide.

From what I understand, the trouble with such cards is that they can be issued to under 18's which is perhaps why Epoch and others do not include them as part of the processing mix.

Maestro and visa electron question are generally NOT accepted anywhere for online purchases

I had an Amex at age 16. It was secured, IE I gave them 1000 bucks, and I got a 1000 dollar limit. On my 18th birthday I got a 1000 dollar credit onto my account.
I dont think age is the reason though. But who knows. I would like to know too.

I guess Commerce Gate and VXS Bill do them.

It's a massive plus to convert the European traffic, but it's also true you can get Maestro if you are over 15 here.
