    Quit smoking yesterday....36 hours in!!

    So I'm coming out of ozzfest the other day & some super hot 19yo blond asks me for a piggyback ride...says she'll blow me if i do (she was walking with no shoes on) But i was sucking in so much air myself, there was no way i could have carried her ass a half mile. So i was like fuck this shit! Nothing like having to pass up on some pussy to motivate ya to quit!

    Actually I'm still feeling pretty good right now. The withdrawals aren't too bad at the moment although I've been eating a ton more.

    Anyways, in the next few days (if history serves me from years ago) I'll probably be on here yelling at people. So please excuse me

    36 hours in....i figure i got another 72 hours before the real pain starts

                                      Keep your eye on the prize, and realize (assuming you'll want to quit at some point in your life) any pain you put behind you is pain you'll have to experience again if you light another smoke.... that helped me get through the toughest times after I had already gone through a nic-fit or two already.

                                                                      Back when I quit the first 4-5 days were the hardest. After that it get a lot easier.

                                                                      Just avoid spicy foods and getting shit hammered for a couple months.

                                                                          Yea that "point in my life" has arrived. I'm actually quite relieved. Every other time i quit because i wanted to take a break. Now i want to stop for good.

                                                                                          Aside from satiating the oral fixation thing, they also allowed me to "inhale" their methol fumes.. not quite the same as smoking, but it helped satisfy the itch at the back of my throat a bit.

                                                                                          Maybe avoid bars and other places you might have regularly lit up for a little while.

                                                                                          It's just as hard to break a heroin addiction, so make sure you're mentally prepared, and always keep your eyes on the prize.
