I just got back from seeing a 12:01am showing of Rob Zombie's version of "Halloween" and it was FUCKING AWESOME. I suggest you all go see it right away.

the original is my favorite movie ever and the inaccuracies in the new one pissed me off....all the key scenes are kinda there but they are altered...the ending in the original was the fucking shit and it was sacreligious to change it in the new one....can't fully explain cause i dont wanna spoil it for anyone...this movie would be great if it was called part 12 or something...but if you are gonna remake the best scary movie ever make it right

seeing the original in the theaters...i was highly dissapointed in this film...
there was too much michael myers character development...not enough "halloween" style shit....dont forget this is the movie that STARTED the genre....
The original left a lot of things to the imagination....which i prefer...but seeing as how the younger generation HAS no imagination anymore...they need everything spelled out for them...this movie will fit the bill...

If you want a fairy tale version of the devil creature michael myers this movie wont be for you. If you want to see what a psychopath murder would look like then you want to see it. The family is different from the original. The backstory is completly different from the other. This movie was made for this decade where the orignal was made for a time in the 70s when people were scared of hospitals and pshyco therapy. Those things dont apply in these times. I love the realism rob zombie has in his movies. But its not for everyone.No doubt one may quote history to support any cause, as the devil quotes scripture.

I saw it last night. I prefer the original although the more in depth backstory of the new one was pretty cool.
