                                                                                                                          Obviously I am not a model (though I have done a bit of BBW stuff in the distant past) but I simply wouldn't go on a shoot at some guy's home or hotel room where he refused to allow me to have somebody on the shoot.

                                                                                                                                  I'm trying to shoot porn, trying to get a performance out of the girl so it's easy for others to sell, trying to get inside the girls head and motivate her. Can I do that with a friend sitting behind me?

                                                                                                                                  Do I let a stranger sit in my studio, office or house with supervision?

                                                                                                                                  The girl does not trust me, fine let her stay at home. The friend can bring her to the door and sit on the doorstep. They don't come through the door. I was advised by the police to have CCTV installed, not for the models protection but for mine.

                                                                                                                                  Of course if everyone would buy lame videos and pictures sets with a girl clearly not projecting what is required I'm fine with it. Do you want content that converts at 1-500 or 1-5,000?

                                                                                                                                  Not trying to be harsh, just point out what we have to do so we and others can make a living. For girls who want to be safer here's some real useful tips. Don't drink in a bar, don't go home alone, don't meet strangers in a bar, don't let them take you home and definitely don't be alone with them until you have met their family and had a police report on them. Sad but true in 2007.

I do understand your point but there aren't many jobs where you are asked to get naked alone with a stranger. Now, yes that is their job and I am sure that you and Paul are utmost professionals. I just personally would think twice about going to a house or hotel (maybe in a more public studio I would feel different) where I asked the photographer if I could bring somebody because I felt uncertain about safety and he refused me. Again, I get your point but my self preservation alerts would be going off.

                                                                                                                                                              but again, fetisch and bondage models seem to be more likely to get killed on the job compared to a regular hardcore model. it is because these people are into a kink demonstrating power and control.

                                                                                                                                                              hmm just to add to the "bring a friend" discussion... i always allow friends or boyfriends of a model to be present, they will not be on the set but in a separate room. if it is a nervous model, usually it helps them feel comfortable. most often the friend gets bored and takes a ride to a nearby restaurant or movie theater and all is good. i have had it go wrong just a few times, once a friend brought her best friend and they were chatting while i was shooting her, it was very distracting and since then i dont allow that. Another time, a couple got into a fight because she had promised him that he could watch her getting drilled but then changed her mind upon arriving to the studio.. but then again, she was kinda nuts already so that shoot would probably gone weired anyways..
