Don't break plans with the bros
Scenario: "Dude, I know we're supposed to be watching the game, but she really wants to go look at wallpaper."

Don't reveal bros? secrets
Scenario: "Don't ever tell him I told you this, but...."

Don?t only be there for the big events
Scenario: "Buddy, I can't meet you tonight, but I'll be seeing all of you on Friday. That's cool, right?"

Defend your bros
Scenario: "Yeah, you're right honey, John was insensitive for not calling her back."

Use your relationship to benefit your bros
Scenario: "Hey, you want to meet a hot chick?"

Be there for your bros
Scenario: "Sorry dude, you sound upset, but we have something on..."

Putting your bros before your girl is sure to lead to some problems in your relationship. The rules above don't advise spending every second with the guys without a thought for your girlfriend -- they're about putting things in balance.

Life with a girlfriend and no guys would be a sad existence. So would plenty of bros, but no woman. There's room for both, but deep down, you should know one truth: It's more likely your bros will help you when she breaks your heart, than her help you when all your friends take off.
