My account EARNED OVER 1900 dollars in July, and after this recent delay of payments and me constantly trying to find out where my money was I get a fucking email saying that they had to "recalculate" my earnings and now they have me as getting 900 dollars less. the reason they gave was that I "replaced" the etology created ad codes, which is bullshit because once they were on my site they fucking stayed there (the exact code that their shitty webmaster area gave me)


That is fucked up. I no longer support these assholes anymore if they are going to deliberately steal almost half of my monthly earnings from me.

Your account was recently escalated to me because of the disappointment you?ve had regarding our payout. There were a couple of things that brought your account to our attention. After looking into your account I noticed that you were on two separate accounts, one a managed account with Etology EID=32443 and another self sign-up EID= 28076. On July 13th we provided ad code to be used on your website from our internal account management to be used on the site. This code was used for a day and then reverted back to original code. The intention was to use the new code while dropping the old code. However due to the difference in revenue who could blame you for reverting back to the more attractive higher earning ad code layout.



The main reason the account was flagged was due to the dramatic jump in clicks and advertiser complaints of many clicks originating from your site and no actions (conversions) thereafter on the users part. After researching we saw that our GTB images were placed similar videos and images on the main site. The GTB system itself is closed to the public because it is in beta released to selected users. Currently there isn?t a required field to prevent removal of Headlines, Location, and Age because GTB is an internal system and opened on request to very specific users.



After reviewing all of the information both myself and upper management decided to approve payment for the earnings that were adjusted for this particular instance. In particular, we made this decision because it was not clear to you that this was against our terms of use with the new beta system. We will be modifying our TOU to state explicitly that we do not allow the removal of Headlines, Locations, or Age variables in GTB?s and will be building in safeguards to prevent this from occurring in the future.



I?ve reviewed previous conversations with several of our internal account managers and did not find a clear message conveying the proper use of the GTB system which is the primary reason for our change. Our account review team flagged the account as fraudulent based on ?Click Spamming? in our Terms of Use.



It was also brought to my attention that conversations about ad serving latency was used as evidence that the ad code itself was okay to use. This was obviously not the intention of the messages conveyed but turned into a manner that benefited your argument. This was not taken into consideration during review of the account by then the decision was already made on the account by management but should be clarified that those messages were not in regards to compliance of layout. Another team in our company is responsible for fraud prevention.



Please understand that by using GTB?s in the manner that was on pornoshack lowers overall ROI across all publishers due to non-targeted ads, high click volume, and misleading ads (ads that look like site content) which is prohibited under our TOU often referred to as click spamming. This also prevents advertisers from returning due to the horrible conversion and drop off rate that is seen by the advertiser. The role of Etology and the platform is to ensure that there is a balance between advertisers and publishers so that no single party benefits at the others expense.

For consideration to have the hold released, please provide the following: - Submit any 3rd party statistics you may have (examples of 3rd party statistics programs include Analytics, Extremestats, OneStat, etc.) - Statistics should be for the entire month of July and August 2007 - Statistics should show the following metrics: - unique visitors (required) - pageviews (required) - geographic breakdown (if available) After sending the stats please allow 5-10 business days for review. Hint: Etology was created by two "ex" exployees from AFF. Knowing how the business morals go in that company, it would appear that the apples didn't drop far from the tree.

If you want to determine if a given website is a scam, it is pretty simple: Look for AFF, Adbrite, or Etology on the page. If you find at least 2, you certainly have reason to think it might be a scam site.

Etology is a willing and agressive supports of copyright violators, tube, and torrent sites. They are more than willing to lay down with crooks and shysters, why would you be surprised that they are willing to fuck you over on payout?
