I've only heard this song and his "For the People" song. Maybe my impression of him is inflated because I'm not familiar with his other stuff. I just found these two tracks to be better than the nonsense in much of today's hiphop. Well, there are other "conscious" songs out there, but they usually lack a decent beat. So I don't like 'em anyway.

Hum, I have to say that's one of my least favorites I've heard by him.

His stuff from early/mid 90s is more influential and passionate, I think, but I haven't heard the whole new album yet.
