My pug has a thing like that but for pillows. She will just sit and lick pillows. I think it must have something to do with them smelling so much like us.

She has always had a bit of a bad digestive system so I was giving it a day or so to play out and see if it was just the 'normal' problems and then go to the vet the next day if she was still the same way.

So, late last night I am sitting down with her and she suddenly coughs a big cough and makes like she is going to be sick and all that comes out if half a dryer sheet. Then after about five minutes she is prancing around like she feels top of the world. No idea when she managed to grab the dryer sheet but that certain is a first for me!

Do you feed your dog well? :winkwink:

They both eat properly..dryer sheets aren't normally on the menu.

My old male has done that for the 10+ years I've had him. He licks carpet, pillows, blankets, people, the leather sofa, the kitchen scales, and if there's nothing there, he will literally lick the air.

The two young ones lick my legs when I'm in the kitchen - only in the kitchen for some reason.

Then there's the puppy who chews EVERYTHING - he's destroyed a coffee table and chair, chews on brick, the stone fireplace hearth, and the best: the glass door. It's a riot to be on the other side of the door as he's trying to chew it :1orglaugh

Crazy dogs.

My dog eats anything that moves, from grass swaying in the wind to cats.

With all the licking pugs do they have to keep the tongue in shape somehow..it is just training.

After trying to read that sentence I am tempted to rub you down with a dryer sheet and let my spaniel loose.

Glad your dog is okay. It's hard to always keep an eye on the stuff they eat.

One of my cats ate a long piece of ribbon around Christmas time...after about a week 3 inches of ribbon was hanging out of his butt.
I wish I would have taken a picture!

fatfoo 08-29-2007 07:24 PM

Yikes, not sure how I would have reacted to that!
