Hi everyone,

Me and my friends are having a Charity Boat Cruise to Raise Funds and Awareness for children and families with Neuroblastoma I realize that most of you are not from Canada and there is no way that you can attend but it's for a great cause. The survival rate of children with Neuroblastoma is about 15% to 20%. I have a personal attachment to this as there is someone in my life who was tragically diagnosed at the age of 2 and is slowly falling into the 80% that don't make it age the age of 5. It's a very dark time for everyone involved right now, but it doesn't have to be this way for future generations. Tickets are $35 but I'm not asking for that as it is kind of steep, basically anything your can afford to give. We are registered with the Hospital For Sick Kids based in Toronto. We've chosen not to disclose my little friends name as it is a sensitive topic to mention his name on XTube.com. Kurtis has had to take some time off work this week and asked me to post an update for him.

Kurtis' God-Son, whom this fund raiser is in honor of, died today. He was 5 years old.

His father was at work when he received the call from the hospital telling him that his son was no longer moving his eyes. He rushed to the hospital to be with him in his last moments - he got to spend 5 precious minutes with his boy before he died.

As I shared this story with my wife we both shared a few tears as we are parents too.

Kurtis' God-Son fought Neuroblastoma for 3 years, but ultimately succumbed to the illness. Kurtis began this thread to raise awareness and money for this cause. His modest goal of $1000 is close - only a few more to go. If you can find it in your heart and wallet, please consider a donation (information in first post).
