Just noticed the zango ads on the left side of my profile... seems pretty fucked up to me that a huge company that millions of people use and trust would be tricking their users into installing spyware...
Meh - Firefox with Adblock Plus and No Script installed.... Zangowho? What ads?
Well obviously I wouldn't click it
But still... if surfers get infected it affects our bottom line.
Facebook is huge and i'm pretty surprised that they would put their entire company's trust and reputation in jeopardy by pushing spyware installs on their users. I just sent them a friendly email to let them know they might want to look into zango and 180solutions track record before they continue to promote them.
I don't imagine word about spyware infections via harry potter screen savers would be very good for their active user count.
I seriously doubt they care. They are probably making so much money with Zango installs that they couldn't give a shit less about infecting user's computers...

They turned down a $1.5 billion offer from yahoo... I doubt if they'll ever make anywhere near that from zango installs, people put all kinds of information on there including CC info. Their reputation is worth a lot more.
