Umm, they still have 90 employees left?

Not that its really anyone's business at all, but... they're here to stay... =) Just focusing on several new projects, I suppose optimizing their staff.

A public notice put on the web + A company which many webmasters promote, definitely = Our Business.

fucked because they laid off few employees? Downsizing is a healthy management function that beyond cutting cost, it can benifit a company in multiple levels.

Yeah, but they actually said that it was because they have decreased revenues.

Strategic moves like this are what keep all of us employed and the company moving forward in a positive direction.

All of us not including

Jeremy Todd, Corina LaBorico, John Bigwood, James Lincoln, Mauricio Alanis,
Matthew Arnold, Matt Swensson, Starr Thompson, Allen Thephavong, Dan Humes,
Danielle Vanderlip, Eric Hastings, Carmen Armendariz, Tim Parnell, Natalie
Trotter and Michael Cervantes.

I guess

I agree its always good to restructure and weed out the slackers.
bring in new blood or just plain cut some overhead. to profit.
could be many reason.

How could it be many reasons when the memo clearly states:

"as our revenues have continued to decrease, it is time to focus on the reduction of expenses"

Obviously they aren't making as much money as they used to be, so they can't afford to employ as many people.

Thats just a gross number not net.
They might need to cut some overhead

Do you know what there profits are out of the 5 mil?

maybe they have to cut people or lower payouts what would you do.
Lose webmasters or employees? something to go HMMM about.

But then again thats just one reason there could be many.

i cant imagine an adult internet company like AC having 90 employees. It's at least stupid. In their majority such companies should be limited to a small # of employees in order to adapt faster in the market changes. So many people need different levels of management and the company most probably will operate slower than it should. Decisions are taken in several levels now, which is not good. Come on.... I don't know what else AC does except their AVS system, but even 20 people sound a lot in my ears.
