why can't this word be on GFY?

Whatever happened on flight 93, won't all of this prevent future hijackers from taking over planes and holding them captive as in the more "traditional" hijackings?
I mean if someone tries to take over a plane now, won't the passengers assume it is another suicide missile scenario, and proceed to try to take back the controls? |

that is odd

If an F16 shot the plane down there would have been a very wide area of debris scattered across maybe 2-3 miles. The crash site looked like a big hole and not much more. Couldnt have physically happened...no way

Btw, I liked Pathfinder. Also, I sadly believed the post from the start. Chris |
Pulling "Let's Roll" out of a movie?
Well, what would YOU say if you were facing a group of men who knew they were most likely about to go to their deaths on your go-ahead? "Okay guys, uhh like... let's go die"?? Real adrenaline-pumping stuff there. Not heros? How many lives did they save? They're heros. One man had his infant son with him and rather than staying there to comfort his son he got up and fought as he went to his death. Would YOU do that? It's so fucking easy to bash other people for things they say and do in an emergency situation when you're sitting on your comfy chair in your comfy house with loved ones just a phone call away. *rolling eyes* |

Same with bank robberies.... Now anyone trying to hijack a plane is out of their mind. They don't need to worry about beating the security at the gates, but the dozens of passengers and possibly armed pilots that are now not to keen on the idea of hijackings. I doubt we will see any hijackings again on any commercial flights in the forseeable future.... |

There was a passenger capable of flying the plane onboard

http://www.public-action.com/911/robotplane.html Oh, crashing an a passenger plane isn't that easy to do - you have to want to do it all sort of alarms and stuff go off if things start going awry. |
Dude, your poll shows 2 options of a possible 1,000 or more.
Chances are the 45 people attacked and killed the 3 terrorists, leaving the pilot. At which point the pilot knew he was the last one, and would understand that he couldn't possibly beat them all. So, some possibilities at this point: 1. he ran the plane down, or shut off the engines, or dumped the fuel, or did whatever he can think of to ensure that after he is killed the passengers will have a tough time, at best, to get the plane back under control. 2. he left the controls, and died fighting the passenegers, and the passengers could not control the plane. I am sure there are others... I believe that some version of #1 happened. |

Everything that is written isn't exactly true! (cept for what I'm writing :) ) |
It's called death grip... the pilot wouldn't let go of the controls.
