Watching a Family Break Up
So my neighbors are getting a divorce. They have three young kids all under the age of 9 years old. From what I have seen the father has not slept at the house in about a week or two. He shows up tonight with a huge u-haul truck to pick up ?his things.? All that is fine and good.
But what makes me sick to my stomach is the choice of the mother to have the kids around to watch their father pack up his shit and move out. All I?ve heard is the 7 year old screaming ?Daddy I want to go with you? over and over again as he is trying to load the truck. Its their choice to have the kids there I just wish I didn't have to close my windows. Have any of you been through this before? Would you have your kids watch your ex pack up and leave?

The wife and I have seperated three times in our twelve years. Since we have a son together and he is more important than whatever issues we may have at the time - I always left, and I always did it late at night after he was asleep.
You are right, she should have left with the kids, or if she is the paranoid type, should have made plans for someone to watch them while this was going on. A break-up is hard enough on them, LETTING them watch it happen is downright cruel. |

I would not wish that situation on my worst enemy.
Even remote and removed, the paid is palpable. 2c
