Some of you guys are slow. No one is against torrents.

get it straight.

torrent technology is amazing. web 2.0 is amazing.

here is an example of a legal tube site.

www.snizzshare.com

people are pissed off that such an amazing technology like torrent and tube is used as a vehicle for distributing content not licensed or lawfully used.

so get off the "you people are fighting technology and against torrents and tube blah blah blah"

as stated above... 2.0 and .torrent tech are good things... P2P data delivery makes great sense for a lot of applications. Software updates, DRM content delivery, promotional tools... unforunately much like the wild west days of mp3s before itunes and the like... theft is running rampant using this amazing technology...

Will be interesting to see the technology and use of it develop more over the next few years.

There are a few here that don't get it and DO think that torrent technology is what is evil. Again, they're a similar kind of idiot to the one Brad mentioned.

www.vuze.com is amazing. Ive gotten sustained 2500kbps average download speeds with them. They use clusters of servers pushing the torrents, plus the users seeding also. If adult programs would join together and find a way to use this to their advantage bandwidth costs would decrease a lot. Maybe there is a solution there for secured content delivery.... hmm

How can a torrent go legit, it's based on lots people having the same thing to download. Seeders and Leechers, that cant work with legal content. With legal content you download it from the source you bought it from, not 17 other people. If Im wrong please school me.

Now everyone understands what I been saying...
Guess it just took someone with balls to come forward.

I still do not like the idea of even more free porn that is easier to get though.
Just makes sales a little more rough, but the good guys will keep producing fresh stuff and I think thats the key to any succesful site.

The days of running archive sites is comming to a close.
I am believer that surfers want new and fresh, and exlcusive.

It seems to be the life bread of the currently strong subscription sites.

It cracked me up how everytime anyone stated in the XPays thread that they support Web 2.0, but not content theft, some apologist for content theft would claim they were against Web 2.0, against free speech, and against apple pie (well, not apple pie, I made that up - besides I prefer hot cherry pie).

You may have something there... not to mention the gain in positioning... Servers all over the world handling content delivery on a giant P2P producer network... I love the idea if everything could be secured properly. DRM is one way to go, but that seems to be a negative to a lot of subscribers...

I'd be very interested in helping to develop something...

Nah lets say you got a paysite. You can setup a tracker for each download to only let people leech the torrent when they're logged in to your member area. Basically this is the same way private torrent sites work.

So when another site would link to this tracker/torrent the people wouldn't be able to download it.

Munki look at Silverlight

Install it and watch the fantastic 4 trailer here

http://silverlight.net/fox/

Goto www.myspace.com/fox another proprietary system seems flash based, but havent seen anyone getting direct downloads off it. Maybe via a screen grab recorder but thats probably it.

Stopping torrents in general isn't the point.

Stopping content theft is also impossable and anyone with a brain knows that.

The ONLY point I have is that this industry shouldnt SPONSOR sites stealing from others in the SAME DAMN INDUSTRY. We have the ability to work together and make porn torrents a lot less profitable then they are now.

Thats a realistic goal.

yes it can. A lot of content(I'm not talking porn videos) isn't licensed.
I'm working with Kristoffer on a 4wd movie site, where the content is distributed through Torrent clients on 3 servers and the user-group.

As long as the publishers know how to control the releases, its no problem

Your response was not Tony thats not how its work let me tell you. You said your utterly wrong thats it. Now this week we have sent out emails two to rapidshare sites and one a bt, have gotten no response yet. This is my sweat and blood and it hurts the bottom line. How do porn buyers feel about that? The reason I ask, is when we first started I didnt want anyone downloading the pics on the site. This was 2000, so we disabled the right click button and they went crazy not being able to download the pics.So we changed it for fear of losing all our members. Has this attitude changed, would love to hear about experiences.

No idea, I haven't ever offered flash pictures before or non-downloadable pictures before. Flash movies will never replace downloadable movies for people on dialup. But they are becoming a standard across the Internet, which we need to help introduce them smoothly into our member sections.

I guess for me there are only two issues I would have with snizzshare type sites is the length of the movies:

http://www.snizzshare.com/view_video...ype=&category=

4 minutes and 30 seconds seems long. If the sponsors are releasing it like this they are idiots, IMHO. There can't be that much more interesting to see at the website.

The other part would be the advertising. Large numbers of non-related sponsors on the page, dating sites etc. Thankfully the videos are clickable to the site in question, but I have to say that extra sponsors on a page concern me.

I do like the idea of flash movies. I just don't think much of 1 minute plus clips or non-related sponsors. But that is just me. Generally XXXJay's stuff is hot

people are pissed off that such an amazing technology like torrent and tube is used as a vehicle for distributing content not licensed or lawfully used.

so get off the "you people are fighting technology and against torrents and tube blah blah blah"
shitty traffic for a torrent

I predict that Adobe's next generation of Flash, coupled with their new Adobe Media Player product should make a big splash and change the way many of us operate...here is an excerpt about it:

Quote:
For content publishers, Adobe Media Player enables better ways to deliver, monetize, brand, track and protect video content. It provides an array of video delivery options for high-quality online and offline playback, including on-demand streaming, live streaming, progressive download, and protected download-and-play. The Adobe Media Player enables a wider selection of monetization and branding options including viewer-centric dynamic advertising and the ability to customize the look and feel of the player on the fly to match the brand or theme of the currently playing content.

Advanced Analytics and Content Protection
The technology provides content publishers a standardized toolbox to deploy a variety of innovative new advertising formats, and to compile permission-based analytics data, both online and offline, to better understand their audiences. Building on Adobe's rich history of document protection technology, Adobe Media Player plans to offer content publishers a range of protection options, including streaming encryption, content integrity protection and identity-based protection.

The ONLY point I have is that this industry shouldnt SPONSOR sites stealing from others in the SAME DAMN INDUSTRY. We have the ability to work together and make porn torrents a lot less profitable then they are now.

Thats a realistic goal.

You said it...That's the main reason we'll be at the roundtable meeting......
