ok..fine. i apologize and i'll play.

tomorrow i will go to the gym and listen to my body. i know going into the week that each body part will get at least one days attention and at least two days rest. i know if i do chest and back on monday that my triceps will most likely be sore on tuesday. so i either do chest and triceps instead. or i save triceps for thursday.

my point being is to listen to your body. what someone else is doing most likely won't work for you. use structure to get yourself into the gym and into routine visits. feel your body out from there.

after reading through I noticed that WarChild suggested a personal trainer and only a few dished out actual advice. i apologized for the criticism but i still stand by what i said.

feel it out.

And tommorow I am going to do my warm-ups, and probably run a few miles on payement and damage some grass. :)

Wow some really good stuff in this thread...gonna boomark this and keep coming back to it.

I'm going to talk to the trainers at our gym tomorrow and see what they have to offer.

And just a correction, someone congratulated me for losing 50 pounds..it's actually 65 :)

I'm at that point right now in my life, where I'm starting to get addicted once again to the physical activity.

Outside of poker, I don't have anymore vices, I've pretty much have gotten rid of all of them.

I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't do drugs, I'm no longer snacking on garbage, or drinking 12 packs of sodas diet or not all day long.

So, hopefully, this will be my new addiction. I'm already starting to see the signs. I've already walked, and the evening hits, and I'm jonesing to get back out there and do some more.

good luck

in all seriousness, you... being an older man are facing a huge uphill battle. losing weight is a lot harder at this point of your life than say, 15-20 years ago just because of your hormone levels

i know you might shrug this off but i would definitely suggest visiting a rejuvination / anti-aging clinic... get your bloodwork done & see where your hormone levels are

a shot a week of testosterone (and possibly growth hormone if you're ready for everyday injections) would do wonders for you... even mentally, the sense of well being alone could be worth it (imagine feeling 25 again)

anyway, hope you reach the goals you've set
