My design project was actually a projhect for an automotive company we designed a system that would move the reavview camera depending on which reverse sensor was pickuping up an object close by so If the sensor on the far left started beeping that you were getting close to something the camera would turn towards the left and let you see whats there on the LCD in the dash

Vitasoy 08-18-2007 04:33 PM

That is awesome, congrats

i guess that's a pc-based project, i remember someone in my batch did the same project you have. mine is mcu-based home security system sending sms alert. and when i traveled it on a train to beat the traffic since we are getting late for the defense day but i was invited in the police station for interogation if i am really a student or a terrorist :1orglaugh

Thanks. I'm doing fine with the higher level languages. I'm a little worried about Assembly Language here next term and all the advanced math. I hate math with a passion. I just get bored doing abstract problems and often don't do the necessary amount of homework in those classes because of it...

shekinah 08-19-2007 06:29 PM

Congrats Pete!:)

congrats petey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

High Plains Drifter 08-19-2007 07:22 PM

Congrats, Pete. That is very valuable thing to have right now. The market for Software Engineers hasn't been this good since the dotcom bust - at least here in the SF/Silicon Valley/Norcal area. Salary range for an experienced developer is $100k-$150k and at least $75K for entry level.

Arch and assembler was one of the last classes I took, I left it for last because of that reason :)
