Well I read their response and found it to be nothing more than the typical boiler plate stuff from an organization that doesn't understand that Torrent sites, file sharing sites, p2p etc. will always contain CP and other illegal content and are used to break the law and so should fundamentally be off limits.. Given the responses in that thread.. the "fuck you" by libertine etc., I'm sure ASACP has talked to AFF and been "spun" as opposed to any level headed discussions from the other side. Who would you "believe".. the organization that you have a relationship with and that reports CP etc. to you on a consistent basis or a bunch of people you don't know calling you names etc.

These are only a few of the search terms on only one torrent site, you can search 11 year old, 12 year old, 10 year old, 9 year old, preteen, underage teen, teen sex, child sex, and a variety of other search terms.

On EVERY SINGLE page you will find at minimum 2 or more AFF banners. Anyone who clicks these banners and buys a membership to AFF makes AFF money. AFF then takes this money and gives it to the ASACP. Do you see the issue?

ASACP said they have a ZERO tolerance policy, if i go to a page with these terms on them, and these videos and then click any of the VERY large banners on the page I see an ASACP button on the AFF page. Isn't that a bit fucked up?

The fact that ASACP does not return e mails when asked about this, that they will accept this money and not find it to be just a little wrong speaks volumes.

These links are from just one torrent site, I can go to a variety of other torrent sites, dozens of them, and tube sites that all feature AFF, have all featured AFF for months and months. We pointed out this issue to them well over 6-7 if not more months ago, and nothing has happened.

Codes of ethic pages are like affiliate terms and conditions. If nobody enforces them, they are just wasted bytes.

I've found most companies do not even know half of what's in their TOS.

It seems there's a lot of wiggle room in the application process. They only suggest you adhere to them when signing up, and, in fact, don't even mention them as a suggestion for "Adults Sites" or "Adult Dating Sites" in their "Best Practices."

D, all the reason things like this will make ASACP irrelevant and some family values group will use their bedfellows against them without much difficulty. They may be seen as existing for the purpose of getting paid or payoffs and unnecessary while CyberTipline.com exists.

ASACP is aware that their sponsors fund sites on whose pages that CP is also distributed. They (AFF) have acknowledged as such right here on this forum. Their response was that they are working on a plan of action, so that they can continue to sponsor these sites while just not appearing on pages that contain CP. Isn't that incredible? The appropriate action you would think would be to act swiftly and distance themself from these sites who are in violation of their "code of ethics." Obviously, money is the primary factor and CP distribution and association with is secondary or worse.

Keep in mind there is also an AFF banner on the right side of the screen and on most pages one at the bottom. So 3 different banners which more or less surround these search terms.

Perhaps they should be doing something like google with javascript and making it so certain words turn OFF the banners... Even put up public announcements on how CP damages lives or something?
