fleshlight stops accepting torrent traffic

just got this in my mail

Dear Affiliates,

Fleshlight is no longer accepting ANY torrent traffic. Several torrent
sites have assured us that they are DMCA compliant but due to little or no enforcement of these policies, we can NOT accept any further traffic from torrent sites. This is a new policy update and is effective immediately. If you have links or ads on torrent sites, you will need to remove them within 72 hours and failure to comply will result in a suspension of your affilate account with FleshlightCash.

Thats great but their initial refusal to stop funding thieves has pissed me off. Even though they won't be taking torrent traffic I won't send them a single hit. Not immediately terminating the account of known thieves clearly shows what kind of company they are.

I'm not sure why anyone would risk further damage to the brand if they know for a fact that there are tons of people out there looking now, and some hoping that they do find something.

I agree with what you are saying 100%.

Hand approving affiliate accounts is the way to go. I just set mine to hand approve yesterday.

I'm not saying that they are going to so something either, but people ARE watching the torrent community like hawks lately. If it started up again, it wouldn't take long at all to spot.

I think that's a great move for them.

I also think it sucks that they can't seem to win now. Judging by the responses here I can see why Lars just ignores everyone bitching about AFF ads being paired with stolen content.

Even if he cancelled the accounts of every copyright infringer out there you self-righteous sons of bitches would still bitch and never send him a hit....so of course he's gonna keep making the money while he can.

ahahaha.. Fleshlight do not give a shit on morals, they will sell your soul for a penny if they could. they have banned torrent sites because of strictly business calculations. They just made the equation - how much money we do from the torrents sites on one hand and on the other had they asked how much money we do from pissed publishers that we can potentially loose - I guess the metrics was in favor of the pissed publishers hehehe

Now people here should ask them to get down on all the other video streaming sites that infringe copyright laws... they are all over them as well. torrent sites are just a fraction of thier support to piracy!

If we pressure them - then people here will win again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

regardless of torrent sties, they are still sponsoring a shit load of pirated sites and other p2p networks.

Does any one volunteer to make a site list we can send them? They are also working with third party networks that advertise them on other pirated sites like adult ads networks and ethology that advertise on many many piracy oriented sites and p2p networks via popups. If people here should gather and stop sending them traffic for a week of two till they stop piracy completely! then its a nother WIN for sure! Its ez - fleshlight are weak without the people here!

This isn't really true.

The whole torrent thing are a gray zone right now. Web 2.0 is a lot of changes in surfers habbits, and sponros have to adapt.

There has yet to be a sponsor succesfully sued for this kind of behavior.

They are taking the right stance for the future and passing on a lot of short term cash if you ask me.
