Question regarding Playboy,torrent sites,aff &GFY?
I dont frequent this board as much as I used too so this question may have already been asked/discussed but just so I have it straight....
1. Torrent sites have stolen content from Playboy/Adult.com sites. 2. AFF, Fleshlight and others have affiliates who advertise on said Torrent sites, thus keeping torrent sites in business and profiting themselves from the stolen content. 3. AFF, Fleshlight advertise on GFY (owned by Playboy) to attract new affiliates. They also post regularly to attract new business. So my questions... 1. What is Playboy's position on Torrent sites that use their stolen content? 2. What is Playboy's position on the advertisers (AFF, Fleshlight) who keep these torrent sites operating? 3. If their position is not a favorable one why do they allow these same advertisers to advertise on Playboy company sites such as GFY? Being a sizeable respected adult company I'm sure they have done the numbers. Does the amount of money they earn from the ad placements outweight the cost of the stolen content? If so it raises an interesting discussion on the real economic loss regarding the torrent sites. Just curious as I noticed a Fleshlight banner the other day on this site and it made me wonder. Playboy is a very respected company, adult and mainstream. They could really take a stand, as a content producer themselves, and help the industry by not doing business with companies that profit from the use of stolen content. |

Guess this question has been discussed then. lol
Just curious as with all the talk on groups being formed, threads being started, good lists, bad lists, etc. starting with the GFY community might be a good first step. |
