We have YouTube for more than an year and people still don't know how to protect their content?!

Lower your fucking payrates and stop fucking giving away your content... Who the fuck told you that your surfers must have the content on their PCs? Their paid for membership, not ownership!

If you dickheads were really ready to work together, then this fucking industry would just stop the fucking nonsense in a split second... However, I do believe it's quite impossible that the whole industry to switch to FLV in one moment... LOL

The thing is that most of you people don't understand one simple thing - the Copy/Paste function is the thing that makes the whole PC world what it is. YOU WILL NEVER STOP DIGITAL COPYING, NO MATTER WHAT! Unless... you disable the fucking copy/paste function... how hard is that? it's up to you people...

I think that the fact that Adult is years behind is Web 2.0 says enough...

To all people posting hatred threads regarding Torrents, P2P, etc - I understand you. I respect your business, but still I'm obligated to give you this message - YOU HAVE NO CHANCE FOR SURVIVAL AS LONG AS YOU LET PEOPLE DOWNLOAD YOUR SHIT!!!

Everybody hates torrent sites, tube sites, etc. but nobody actually takes the measure to stop people from downloading their content and stopping the people from downloading it for free, yet you people continue to complain...

Here's the real situation. You have a random hacker from the Ex Soviet nations... He/She gets a hold of huge amount of Credit Cards and buys membership (or even better, finds a pass for free, cause CAPTCHA is breakable and YES, people crash protected sites and brute force access to them 24/7), then he/she downloads all your fucking content in less than 1 day (cause them fucking hackers, not only have access to stolen CCs, but the also own a pack of dedicated hosts with super high download speed)...

You wonder, what does this motherfucker's gonna do with all my stolen content? Simple! He makes a fucking warez/free porn sites with full length movies, stacks it up with spyware (mostly trojan shit with mailer functionallity, not to mention personally coded shells for full PC access, etc) and he starts gaining victims... You know how they call those - BOTNET!

What you offer is similar to calling people stupid for selling others a CD with your music on it... or a DVD with your content on it.

Downloading is a service provided to the end users for their personal use. Just as with CD's and DVD's, and any other type of transferable media, there are certain ethics that come with using the content... providing it to others for their own continued use - whether a profit is made or not - is crossing that ethical boundary, imho.

A laxity of security on my part does not ever excuse the act of theft on your part.

what i do know is that not drming content or using whatever methods you suggest wont stop theft. and it doesn't give someone the right to steal it.

Let me explain my idea for the people that can't understand me without being direct (sorry man, but your fucking ego is stopping you from understanding what I'm saying).

If this WHOLE industry would to switch their content to FLV or ANYTHING ELSE that is stream only and hard to rip (I actually think that there are ways to make it impossible to download [unless you're a guru hacker]) and lower your price - BECAUSE you're no more allowing people to actually download the content - THEN maybe you wouldn't have any problem with the Torrents, P2P, etc.

As long as every Average Joe porn maniac can download your shit, he will share it. Who do you think is uploading these full length videos? Sales people? I don't think so!

When I started with Internet one of my biggest passions was finding pirated sofwtare, that I downloaded via my model connection (2 GB per month, YEAH MAN!) and then I copied it on CDs (on my friend's burner, I had to take my HDD out of my PC for that purpose) and I spread it all over the hood. I felt good, cause I way spending time "finding" shit and giving it to the people that couldn't find it themselves. It's like a little Robin Hood fetish, if you're able to understand what I'm saying.

So, what I'm saying is - until you stop people from copy/pasting your sites - you're DOOMED to suffer this bullshit.

Different encoding measures... DRM... they're all white-picket fences to anyone that wants to get hold of your content.

If you can view it - DRM or no - you can rip it.

Perhaps we should shift focus to the ones committing and facilitating the crimes, instead of the pointless exercise of trying to keep it away from the offenders while negatively impacting our customers' perceived value?

PEOPLE, PLEASE READ THIS:

the most part of your content is distributed by:

a. hackers wanting to gain popularity for their spyware laden sites
b. users who like to share

there isn't a single serious webmaster who would intentionally download content from the websites' content areas and put their

on their sites. all "tube" sites put in their ToS that they're not responsible for the content uploaded by their users and are willing

to take it off upon request.

as for dvd and cd copying - people that are willing to buy legal software and media are AFFRAID from the laws prohibitng them

from illegal distribution, thus the only ones going to abuse this content source are hackers

let me tell you a few things about hackers... real hackers have only the interest of making money... the fraud they're dealing

with ALWAYS gurantees them big time serving, if not they are just noobs or script kiddies playing with fire. when a real hackers

do something all they want is results which equal hard cold cash - nothing more nothing less... these people are willing to pay

mad dollers to have 48 page hosted without the hosting company dropping them... this means... serious hackers would never go

ripping your porn sites counting for results in the long run... those people are exploiting 0-day browser bugs, they only target

users, botnet - they don't care about your fucking content - all they want is free mail servers for their spam and shells to cover

their tracks...

in a few words - if the content theif you're dealing with is not a hacker - you're dealing with a noob!

make the noob pays - that (should be [imho]) is your only goal!

p.s.
if flv is not a good streaming option, i'm quite sure there are others that suit the need ;) the biggest problem of this industry is that you can't ask $30/month for streaming only videos.. who said PPV, raise their hand!
