Sick Kids Hospital really is the best... they let me carry him in and be with him while they put him under.
They were finished the operation exactly when they said they would and recovery... well, they told us 2-5 hours but 30 mins in he drank a cup of water and they said he could go home!
The doctor said that it was an unusually large hernia, took a little extra work but otherwise it was all pretty standard going.
So he's still having a rough time walking but otherwise you'd never know he had done anything different today.
