I don't think paysites are going to vanish. I think the real question is over time, how big of an impact will torrent/tube sites have on the bottom line of those that run them.

I think the answer to that is yet to be seen. If legislation and/or civil action starts making it more and more difficult for torrent/tube sites to run, I'd say the impact that they have on the industry will obviously be less. |

Sites like megaupload and rapidshare have more of an impact than torrents or youtube sites. I went and looked at many of the adult youtube like sites and I wouldn't want to use them if I were a surfer. They were slow. Impossible to find good stuff. Required registration. And they seemed to be done half ass. If they ever get their act together, that is when things will get much worse.

Torrent sites probably don't care one way or another if the paysites survive. Maybe it will finally kill the paysites who have a $10,000 tour and a $1500 members area filled with plugins and upsells. Sites with good content, and branding may still benefit and the paysite owners can improve the community or interactivity of their sites for their members. They're already implementing social networking features and leaping way ahead of the old paysite model. However, with the Torrent sites offering premium memberships to more "stolen" content than you'll ever be able to watch and such a huge variety it's almost like a All for 1 Pass into every paysite. They won't necessarily need to monetize with dating or cams anymore. They beat the hell out of any TGP / MGP site for value, and if you look at the trackers you can see a sharp decline in traffic to the old TGP beasts.

scary! Agree with you again my old friend.. why spend any time looking through tons of galleries ofa 15 second clips when you can spend your time watching 5 to 30 minute videos. TGP will die a horrible death cause of Tube sites. Tube is the TGP of next year... content is king and Tube's have it.
