Are members of the industry banned from world travel?

Earlier today, someone posted an 8-year old article regarding Britain outlawing porn...

So, maybe that particular article's a bit out of date, but, for me it raised a question:

Are there any countries that we, as American peddlers of porn, should expect the possibility of being arrested in - if we choose to visit them?

Are we, like Richard Gere - and the rest of the "Free Tibet" spotlight folk - banned from China?

Never really thought about that before now... and I wonder...

Hrm, interesting question. I know one thing, as a gay man, there's a whole TON of country's that I wouldn't set foot in for fear of losing my head or other major part of my anatomy. I'd imagine they're probably the same ones that would exact similar punishments on pornographers.

Being stoned to death isn't exactly how I'd like to leave this world......

I would think that if you go to another country (especially one that is "restrictive") that you wouldn't show up with your "I'm a fucking pornographer" T-shirt on. Anyone asks me, I do web design, graphics, programming, and database work. My company name isn't "tits, inc" and I don't advertise what I do.

There is nowhere in the world I fear to go because of my job, but there are places I wouldn't go because I might be mistaken for being American (at least until I say about or out).

Sane countries don't keep records of purveyors of fine porn and try to arrest them when the flight hits the runway - only police states

I remember hearing something about Germany. Can't remember if it was the government sending out letters to people, or just some crazy private organization. I think Sleazydream got one, along with some other high profile sites....anyone remember what that was about?
