Help HD Camcorder - GoFuckYourself.com

Need to buy a HD Camcorder for use mainly in transferring the HDV mini DV tapes into Adobe Premier for processing etc..

I found the Sony HDR-HC3 for around $900

Anyone got this camera or can recommend another HDV Camcorder that will fit our needs... NOT looking for anything high end as we don't shoot the content just process it...

you can get dedicated systems that can transfer at 4x speeds.
I think they start at about 4000 though.

I cant remember where I saw them, I thought I book marked it, but I guess not.

any hd camcorder that can play the format you are trying to capture is fine as long as thats all its going to be used for

be careful though sony and panasonics versions of acvhd or whatever it is differ and and HD camcorder cant playback HDV nor can an HDV one play back HD

I just bought the Sony HDR-HC5 for $800 including del.. I hope it plays back the tapes the photographers have sent

It should do as I know at least one of the photographers shoots with a Sony FX1, HD...)
