Journey and Foreigner would be a bit expensive I think... but who knows...

Damn, leave it to the little brother.
Journey and Foreigner, either one would be awesome, but they might be PRICEY!!!

Journey for around 25 - 50?

Brian can carry a pretty long show.

He's under $30k too.

Few that come to mind...

Journey (minus steve perry these days) might be possible. but they still sell out their tours so could still be $$

Brian Setzer Orchestra or Stray Cats would be pretty fun at a wedding.

Joan Jett

Collective Soul (but prob too much $$ as well)

Bryan Adams

TubeTitans_SusieQ 08-14-2007 08:27 AM

Honestly I love Stevie B so I would say either him or Boys 2 men

Good Pics, Bryan Adams doesn't do weddings anymore. I think Journey the best choice for now. Thanks.

I just remembered. A friend of mine got KC and the Sunshine Band to play at a party at his house once so they cant be THAT pricey.

No they are great. Ask.com brought them for a party once. I wouldnt do a whole wedding with them unless everyone had a great sense of humor. They would be perfect after everyone has had enough drinks in them.

If you get them make sure they sing Total Eclipse of the Heart.

Blue Player 08-14-2007 11:47 PM

Personally I say have a nice choir and a very personnal wedding. Just family and those you love.

That is what marriage is about.

Elton John, he wants like 2 mil. LOL
We just had Linkin park play at our club, they were awesome, not for a wedding though.
I'm not talking Bon Jovi. or anyone that big.
My brother had Stevie B, and that was cool because we all grew up on his music back in the 80s.
Any Ideas?

Thank you. :thumbsup

Somebody I know had Cool And The Gang and the funny thing was they were quite good. Not too expensive either.

Not sure if that is your speed.

You should hit D-Money up...he know the rates for everyone.

Snake Doctor 08-14-2007 11:55 PM

I can't believe nobody recommended The Village People.

Accommodations should be cheap, you could put them up at the Y.

Thanks, I think they would be cool. Good Choice. D-Money might get Fiddy there but I'll wait for his new album to drop first.

D has some good connections.

Richard Marx might be good and cheap.

Dave from Dave Mathews Band. I have heard he does solo performances.

Cyndi Lauper had a few good slow jams.

REO Speedwagon couldn't be too expensive.

Steve Winwood (Higher Love, Valerie)

Bruce Hornsby (The the way it is)

Hope that helps!

Jim

jimb 08-15-2007 12:39 AM

One more for tonite:

Lifehouse

Might be too pricey but Third Eye Blind are perfect...most of your guests won't notice the actual lyrics of their songs but their songs sound nice and romantic :1orglaugh

noone1 08-15-2007 07:48 AM

Don't forget that if you get a band, they are only going to play their songs and most bands don't have a ton of good songs that you want to hear all night. Just get a good cover band that can play lots of different songs by many different bands.

I would personally get classical music at my wedding, and then just a DJ for when we start getting drunker and want to dance to lame songs.

Man, I love weddings. They are so damn fun.

Very true, But the cover band stays all night and they are loud, I like the idea of mixing with a band and DJ.

Weddings can be fun when they are not yours..:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh
