need the opinion of apple people.
This came out long after I stopped working for mac so dont know about it. Im looking for a small portable laptop just to surf with.
I found a bunch of these used: Apple iBook Notebook 12" M9623LL/A (1.2 GHz PowerPC G4, 256MB RAM, 30GB Hard Drive, Combo Drive, Built-in AirPort Extreme) Is that enough power to surf ? |

I have one of those. Even without extra RAM, that is more than enough for surfing, watching vids, playing dvds (6 hour battery life - great portable dvd player), etc.

You can get one of the first Macbooks for a few dollars more...granted the price you can get one for is close to the going rate.
If you're getting a really good price, I'll take one too. |

Here's a secret, walk into the Apple store and ask if they have any open box laptops in the back. They almost always do but never advertise that fact. I got a friend of mine a black Macbook for $799 a couple of months ago.
