You should be able to see as many as 60 per minute if you are away from light sources. With a new moon this year, viewing is predicted to be better than usual.

K I was just out for about a half hour, saw about 10 of them looking towards the northeast pretty high up, so if anyone wants to see they are still going onComment

They've been okay, not fantastic, but the meteors are nicely bright blue and moving fast. Saw about ten decent ones over about 40 minutes. A nice night, warm, just a bit of high hazy clouds that you could pretty much see thru clearly after the eyes adapted.
I was glad I took the time to watch them.
