I don't find it funny that at least 10 million people per week are installing Kazaa and its full of ripped porn movies. I really wonder how many guys own kazaa then still buy a porn membership.

I read you can get some serious virus's using Kazaa .... don't know if they were talking about the lite version also or not.. but if I were going to use it Kazaa it would be the lite version... and remember not all virus checkers catch everything all the time...

The only real way combat kazaa would be for users to share thousands of fake porn movies. Register new accounts every week or so as well.
The problem with this idea is that it would require tons of people helping out. 1 or 2 guys doing this wouldn't change anything. If you could rally up a bunch of people it would make searching for ripped movies difficult. I remember topics about kazaa before and the majority of adult webmasters love the program, so I doubt this is an option. I read an article about the music & film industry being pissed off and they had the same idea of trying to flood kazaa with garbage files. They have not started doing that yet.

Free porn has always been out there and easy to get. Since the BBS days it has been out there and free. But hell...my inlaws have to call customer support to get AIM to work...you think they could use Kazaa? The people who pay for porn fall into 2 categories:
1.) Not smart enough to get it for free 2.) Either too honest or too rich to want it free You can claim they join for the exclusive stuff...but 5 minutes after an exclusive set of pictures goes up in a pay site members area, you can find it being traded all over the place on IRC and Kazaa. |

In all due honesty, I think Kazaa can also be a great marketing medium if used right. For example, I was conduct "RESEARCH" and was downloading deep throat videos and one of the videos was from ideepthroat.com (featuring Heather and her friends). The way she's able to do DT action was really impressive and made me visit her site. So just like that, I went from a freebie leecher into somewhat interested in her site and from there you can guess 1:xxxx will convert into a paid member. So I think if your smart about it, you could use Kazaa as a marketing tool.

Firewalls don't save you when you choose to start downloading a file. You should set your antivirus on autoscan. That's how I caught and removed all the viruses that came with downloaded files.
I don't use Kazaa, too many bs files and slow connections. I-Mesh!!! The file comping feature in I-Mesh speeds up downloads like crazy! |

blah..those file sharing mediums are shit. WIth direct Connect each hub usually is sharing a few Terrabytes of movies and songs...its a great place to see if any of your stll is there

Ahh many of the people that use kazaa are teenagers, they go and download porn.. they still dont have a credit card so they couldnt still pay anything..
Some of them are adults yes... they are now getting porn for free... they get galleries from TGP's, they get movies from kazaa... hmm it looks like they dont need to buy any membership...

Actually, I've seen a number of sites use file sharing on Kazaa to their advantage. Instead of setting up a number of domains with "free" porn as teasers to bring traffic to their real site, they simply share shortened versions of their mpegs with their URL stamped on them. Some have even figured out how to redirect the person to their site at the end of the teaser! (No, I don't know how they do that.)

We need a kazaa task foce..
Honestly tho I've tried using it off a high speed line and found it pretty much useless for downloading any porn... 1. you get no convenient preview for movies 2. you may download the same movie twice 3. you may get ads 4. you got spyware shit 5. most of the transfers are still pre-9600 speed 6. half the transfers fail or have errors 7. search capabilities are limited to the genius of the movie poster 8. you don't get full movies -- maybe fragments at best Seems like you may be able to download a dozen movies at most before you realize that Kazaa is just the same shit recycled over and over again... Doesn't seem like there is much to worry about... Music on the other hand is a different story... |
