I'm thinking about a 72" DLP for the bedroom.

I think it was 72? It was a Samsung or someat.

I have a 42" Panasonic Plasma. I bought it a while ago when they were still expensive and 1080p was only in DLP 50" sets. However, I still love the picture and dont regret getting the 50" one.

50" would of been way to big. Im about 6-8 feet away from my tv and 42" works well. I forget the math to find the right size tv for where you sit, but dont get a bigger one for the sake of it because you will feel like your watching a live tennis match everytime u sit in front of your tv. My friend has a 60" plasma and we are about 8 feet away and its really annoying to have to move your head to watch tv... but them again whatever floats your boat.

check consumerreports.com, they always have a good opinion on what to get.

That is how far away I set from my 22" monitor. I can't imagine having my Sony only 6-8' away.

MY couch is like 15' away from the tv, but I usually watch it from my desk which is 30'+ from the set. So it is pretty much perfect for my situation.
